- M.A. English, University of Notre Dame, 2011
After attaining "Double Domer" status in May 2011, Regina Gesicki spent a year serving South Bend and Notre Dame as an AmeriCorps member at the Robinson Community Learning Center. While at the RCLC, Regina primarily developed writing and literacy related programs for high school aged students. Regina also has experience working with college students; she currently teaches English Composition at Ivy Tech Community College, and as a graduate student at Notre Dame, served as a mentor with Academic Services for Student Athletes. As an undergraduate, Regina was on the editorial staff of Scholastic Magazine. She is delighted to join the Gender Relations Center at this exciting time in its history. When not taking advantage of an excuse to hang out in LaFortune again, Regina can be found growing her own vegetables in containers on her balcony, cooking, reading on the shore of any sizable body of water, or painting.
"No ray of sunshine is ever lost, but the green which it wakes into existence needs time to sprout, and it is not always granted to the sower to see the harvest. All work that is worth anything is done in faith." - Albert Schweitzer
