Meet the bus at Library Circle

Friday, August 16; 5pm
Return to Campus from the Retreat Center

Prior to the start of the academic year, all FIRE Starters are required to attend an overnight retreat which facilitates peer educators getting to know themselves and each other and explores how they can best serve the broader University community. Through a series of workshops, activities, talks and reflections, FIRE Starters gain an understanding about the history, identity and mission of the GRC, their biases as instructors, techniques for group facilitation and ways to become role models on campus. In order to develop team building skills within the group, this retreat features a high ropes course, tree climbing, role playing, storytelling and a bonfire.
