Programs
GRC programs encourage dialogue among students about topics under the broad categories of relationships, gender and sexuality. They are designed to be engaging, educational and social. The GRC also co-sponsors programs with many other groups on campus.
Essential to the success of programs are the GRC’s FIRE Starter (Finding Identity, Relationships and Equality) peer educators. Seeking self-identity, healthy relationships and equality alongside their fellow undergraduates, FIRE Starters play an essential role in program design and implementation. Additionally, they assume roles such as program presenters, actors, emcees, ushers, and hosts of resource fair tables.
Regardless of the type of program, the purpose is to engage women and men in respectful dialogue and to help build a community which fully honors the human dignity of each person.
