The Clothesline Project
Monday, April 22-Wednesday, April 24
The Gender Relations Center organizes a Clothesline Project display as a part of the Violence Prevention Initiative (VPI). While the national project focuses only on women, Notre Dame’s clothesline will include the participation and stories of both women and men.
All t-shirts will be anonymous and they will serve as an enduring memorial to the experiences of Notre Dame men and women.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Collect donations of old t-shirts (in specific colors requested)
Organize a t-shirt decorating party
Invite survivors and their loved ones to make t-shirts
Design a t-shirt to honor the story of a survivor
Deliver t-shirts to the GRC (311 LaFortune) by Friday, April 19
For questions and information, please contact Amanda Downey, GRC Assistant Director.
