Biography

Stanley Asango serves as the Assistant Director in the Gender Relations Center, where he focuses on supporting peer education about allyship, accompaniment, and cultivating community. He leads the center’s campus engagement and outreach, program coordination and the design of training and campus education initiatives to ensure collaboration of the center with other departments across campus that ensure holistic growth among students.

Stanley’s diverse background spans global youth-focused nonprofits, a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, and a Master’s in Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame. His work is centered around building spaces where people excel together by embracing their unique strengths and talents. Driven by this mentality, Stanley excels at fostering strategic partnerships and collaborations among organizations and individuals who share the same vision.

Born and raised in Kenya and having volunteered with nonprofits across the U.S., Stanley has connected with people from all walks of life, a cross-cultural experience that has infused his work with deep empathy and unique perspectives.

Outside office hours, Stanley is a creative enthusiast who is passionate about storytelling in all its various forms, whether it's through fashion, music, art, interior design or film, and immerses himself in these creative pursuits whenever he possibly can.
